Widgety Goodness

Yet another feature I’m going to cram into 3.1 is going to be widget support. I haven’t really been looking at this closely, since I don’t use them on the site. However, Mr. Constantinos wrote up a clean little plugin to do the basic job of putting the In Series table of contents in a widget container. My hat’s off to him!

I’ve filed a bug (bug #27) for handling series navigation widgets. I’ve also checked some code into SVN for handling series lists in the sidebar, but not navigation within a series. Until I wrap my head around exactly how I want to handle series navigation widgets, I highly recommend Mr. Constantinos’ plugin.

I don’t use widgets on my blog either..just hack the sidebar.php.

I’d like to add just a list of series posts but no navigaton links in the sidebar…intalled beta2 hoping the ReadMe file would have instruction on how to put a post list in a sidebar for a Series since I don’t use TOC ..this would really be helpful.

Is there a php call…do you have the code I could paste into a sidebar just to list the posts included in that particular Series without any links in the titles?

    thanks…great work
