Well, I’ve gotten a whole lot of nowhere with my testing; I keep running into problems with being inconsistent about how I actually do the tests. I started doing a very, very detailed documentation on exactly which steps should be done in which order, got through about two tests, and thought “Screw it. It’ll take me just as long to automate these, and automation will pay off way more.” So, I’m going to take the rest of this week to automate the tests, and hopefully get that 3.0.6 release out. Getting some automated tests in should also make for more frequent releases, going forward — I’ll be way less likely to get hung up for days or weeks on end trying to do test passes across three different versions of WordPress.
